South Shore Realtors® had a recent opportunity to see national speaker Chris Smith live and in person when he visited this week with the Plymouth and South Shore Association of Realtors® presenting on the topic of his newly published book titled Peoplework, which he co-authored with business associate Austin Allison.
Smith is the founder of Curaytor and the co-host of the weekly web show "Water Cooler" and is known as a digital marketing guru. He was invited to speak at the association by the Education Committee which strives to bring quality programs to the PASS membership. The premise of Peoplework is "how to run a people first business in a digital first world" and the message is two-fold; we live in a day and age of amazing advanced technology and mentioned were some amazing programs that will help with everything from daily organization, food delivery, to finding out where all your friends are at any given moment. There are also apps available that could allow for payment of products and services or the ability to review and sign contracts right from your smartphone!
While having access to technology, becoming resourceful in utilizing these tools and impressing customers with the latest and greatest is all very important to a business, the prevailing message is that we can never forget that the real key behind the most successful businesses ultimately lies in customer service and making a connection with your customer-person to person. People to people.
